- Wood


What processes have been used to create this mask?
- this mask has also been carved and carefully painted for effect by Suzuki Nohjiu. the designer of the mask has also carefully painted gold on the eyes of the mask.


How has the target (performance) group for the mask influenced its design and creation?
-the kumasaka mask represents the face of the thief, or bandit, chief, in Noh Theatre to craete drama for the audience watching the play the mask is used in

-this mask is made from wood and coloured with red " tukula powder" which is a dye made from a camwood tree.

What processes have been used to create this mask?
-the mask has been carved and coloured with tukula powder.

How has the target (performance) group for the mask influenced its design and creation?
-This mask has been influenced by african tribal art. it is also used in ceremonies and tribal rituals.
